Celebrating First Place Cultural Entry

The Newcomer Welcome Centre participated in the 2025 Frontier Days Parade on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The day began with the Welcome Centre team and families gathering around the float, followed by a celebration of winning the 1st Place Cultural Entry float award.

This year, the float was based on the theme, “Roots of Tomorrow: Continuing to Help Newcomers Put Down Roots and Spread Their Wings in Southwest Saskatchewan.” The theme encapsulates the Welcome Centre’s motive for this year and reflects on the 15th anniversary of the Centre’s opening.

It is always an exciting time celebrating Canada Day weekend with the parade and looking ahead to the many ways the Newcomer Welcome Centre will continue to serve the community!
