Family Fun Day a success!

Multicultural Family Fun Day was a great success today at Riverside Park!
Sunny and bright, a perfect weather for our event last Sunday at Riverside Park. We showcased different games/activities from several cultures, like Tai Chi, different versions of Hacky Sack called Jegi Chagi (Korean), Sipa (Philippines) Jianzi (Chinese), marble games from Montenegro, Patintero and Chinese Garter from the Phiiippines. There were also a variety of other popular Canadian games. Of course, the participants had a great time playing all these games, or inventing new ones.

The Family Resource Centre provided face painting during the event. We also had Cotton Candy, hotdogs and burgers, and drinks for everyone. Acklands-Grainger graciously donated the helium tank used for the balloons. Thank you as well to the City of Swift Current and SaskLotteries for the additional funding for this event.

We would like to thank everyone who came and participated. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff who readily shared their time and talent to make this event a truly fun and exciting one.
